To maintain the integrity of the trading environment, tegasFX enforces strict rules against certain prohibited strategies and practices. We distinguish between hard breaks and soft breaks.

Breach of the Drawdown Limits

If the drawdown limits are breached, all open positions will be automatically closed immediately. The account will switch to "read-only" mode, the trader will lose access to the account, and they will forfeit any and all claims to existing profits and eligibility for further profit splits (payouts).

High-Frequency Trading (HFT)

Defined as trading strategies that hold positions for three seconds or less and execute multiple trades in rapid succession.

Arbitrage

Involves exploiting price differences of an asset across different markets to generate risk-free profit.

Exploiting Platform Inefficiencies

Encompasses activities like latency arbitrage, reverse arbitrage, gap trading, toxic order flow, account management, tick scalping, and server execution exploits.

Cross Hedging

Involves hedging positions across multiple accounts, even those belonging to the same trader. This practice is strictly prohibited. If detected, the company reserves the right to retain a portion of any profits gained from this practice and will issue a one-time warning.

Gambling Practices

Entails excessive use of leverage and risking a large portion of the account on limited trades—for example, using over 50% of the margin on significant news events—or employing extreme martingale strategies without a discernible trading plan. Similar to cross hedging, profits may be retained, and a one-time warning issued, with immediate account closure upon a repeat offense.

Our MT5 Instant Funding trading accounts are equipped with a leverage of up to 1:100. A trader will only receive this maximum leverage if they can demonstrate reasonable risk management. This is done on request and only once you have achieved GOLD status. More information on this is in a section below. At the beginning, every trader starts with the following leverage:

Trading within the program is governed by specific rules and guidelines to ensure a fair and professional trading environment. Drawdown limits are set at 10% or 25% for the first deposit drawdown and maximum daily equity drawdown, depending on the account type.

First Deposit: Drawdown (%)

This rule is triggered when the trader's equity drops to a certain percentage of their first deposit.

Max Daily Equity: Drawdown (%)

This rule is based on the maximum equity during the current trading day.

Current Equity ≤ Max Daily Equity x (100% - Drawdown %) / 100%

With the rules outlined above, the trader can build a buffer through their profits, allowing them to incur losses as long as the First Deposit: Drawdown (%) is not exceeded. However, the Max Daily Equity: Drawdown (%) rule, based on the highest equity level of the day, must always be observed to ensure risk remains controlled.

Permitted trading instruments include major and minor currency pairs, indices, cryptocurrencies, and commodities. This variety allows traders to diversify their portfolios and capitalize on different market opportunities.

Holding positions overnight and over weekends is permissible, but traders should be cautious of market conditions and reduced leverage during these periods. Staying informed about market developments is crucial to manage risks effectively.

Bronze Status (50% Profit Split)

This is the initial level for all traders, offering a 50% profit split. It's designed for traders to become familiar with the program and demonstrate their trading capabilities.

Silver Status (60% Profit Split)

To advance to Silver status, traders must meet specific criteria.

  • No failed Instant Funding accounts in the last three months.
  • Made at least four withdrawals of 5% each from their trading account.

Gold Status (70% Profit Split)

Advancing to Gold status requires additional criteria.

  • No failed Instant Funding accounts in the last six months.
  • Made at least seven withdrawals of 5% each from their trading account.

Diamond Status (100% Profit Split)

This is the highest level in the program.

  • Must not have failed any Instant Funding accounts in the last twelve months.
  • Must have made at least ten withdrawals of 5% each.
  • Must have achieved a total effective annual performance of at least 60%.

Payouts are efficient and straightforward. The initial payout can be requested after completing 10 trading days. Payouts can be requested at any time after the 10th trading day. The only requirement for a payout is that the trading account has no open positions and is in profit. After a successful payout, the respective trading account is excluded from trading for up to 24 hours (read-only mode) and is automatically reactivated after this time. The final processing time for payouts is up to 48 hours.

The maximum inactivity period is 60 days. Accounts inactive for more than this duration may be subject to closure, so regular engagement with the trading platform is encouraged.
